The RBT exam is built from the Test Content Outline (3rd Edition), effective January 1, 2026. Older sites may call it the “Task List”. The exam has 85 questions, of which 75 are scored and 10 are unscored, with 90 minutes to finish.

How to study by weight
Behavior Acquisition and Behavior Reduction together make up 44% of the scored questions, so give them the most time. Ethics and Data Collection each carry about a sixth of the exam and are worth revisiting often.
