Tap a card to flip it. Filter by domain, or shuffle the deck. There are 36 cards covering the six domains of the 3rd Edition Test Content Outline.
How to study RBT flashcards effectively
Flashcards work best for recall, so use them for terms and definitions you need to produce from memory: reinforcement types, prompt levels, measurement methods, and the vocabulary of the RBT Task List. Read the term, say the definition out loud before flipping, then sort the cards you missed and revisit them the next day. Short daily sessions of 10 to 15 minutes tend to beat one long cram session.
Go beyond definitions
The exam mostly asks scenario questions, not vocabulary recall. After each deck, test yourself with a domain quiz, and use the glossary for the plain-language explanation and examples behind any card you keep missing. The 3rd Edition Test Content Outline, published by the BACB, is the authoritative list of what can be tested.
A simple 4-step routine
First, go through one domain at a time. Second, shuffle and repeat until you can answer each card without hesitation. Third, take that domain’s quiz to check application. Fourth, revisit weak cards before your next session.
