About

This is an independent RBT exam study resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). “RBT” and “Registered Behavior Technician” are credentials administered by the BACB.

How the practice questions are made

The questions are original and written for study purposes. They are organized to follow the domains and proportions in the BACB RBT Test Content Outline (3rd edition, effective January 1, 2026). They are not copied from the real exam, and a practice score does not predict or guarantee an exam result.

Accuracy and updates

Exam facts on this site come from the BACB RBT Handbook (updated 06/2026) and the official Test Content Outline. Rules and fees can change, so always confirm current details at bacb.com before you apply or renew.

Scope

This site is for exam practice. It is not a substitute for the required 40-hour training, competency assessment or supervision, and it does not provide clinical guidance.

Who runs this site

Free RBT Practice is run independently by a small team focused on exam-prep content. We are not the BACB, a training company, or a supervision provider, and this site’s content is not currently reviewed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). If that changes, this page will say so.

How we create and check content

Practice questions and explainer pages are written against the BACB’s own published materials: the RBT Task List (2nd edition), the RBT Test Content Outline (3rd edition, effective January 1, 2026), the RBT Handbook, and the RBT Ethics Code (2.0). Where it’s useful, pages link directly to those primary BACB documents so you can verify facts yourself instead of relying on a secondhand summary.

How often we update this site

Exam-fact pages are reviewed whenever the BACB publishes an update to the Task List, exam outline, ethics code, or handbook. Typos and broken links are fixed on an ongoing basis. See our editorial policy for more detail on how content is sourced and corrected.
