These are original practice questions written for study purposes. They are not taken from the real exam and a practice score does not predict or guarantee an exam result. The real exam has 85 questions (75 scored) in 90 minutes; a full practice exam here uses the same domain proportions. See what changed in 2026 for the official domain weights. How to use this free RBT practice exam

Start with a quick quiz to find your weak domains, then move to topic practice for the areas where you miss questions. When you feel ready, take a full timed exam to practise pacing: the real exam gives you 90 minutes for 85 questions. Review every explanation, including the ones you answered correctly, because the reasoning is what transfers to new scenarios.

What the six domains cover

The 3rd Edition outline covers Data Collection and Graphing, Behavior Assessment, Behavior Acquisition, Behavior Reduction, Documentation and Reporting, and Ethics. Behavior Acquisition carries the most weight, followed by Behavior Reduction and Ethics. Always confirm current details in the official BACB RBT page.

Tips for exam day

Read each scenario fully, identify what is actually being asked, eliminate options that conflict with ethical or safe practice, and flag hard questions to return to. Pair practice with the study guide and flashcards.
